Tennis & Tutoring Program
Tennis & Tutoring is an after school program that strives to enhance the lives of under-served youth ages 12 and under, by encouraging and helping them reach and exceed academic goals while maintaining a healthy lifestyle through sport. Our curriculum is established through partnerships with each school administration. TNT strives to instill a love of learning, enhance creativity, and broaden the horizons of the students through knowledge, discipline and hard work.
Students are also taught tennis by tennis professionals, where they learn life skills, competitive play and sportsmanship.

Philosophy of Tennis & Tutoring
"The ideal attitude is to be physically loose and mentally tight." Arthur Ashe
Our classroom teachers and tutors oversee the daily classroom activities and tennis professionals provide the structured game-based tennis component. We strive to nurture a safe and supportive community where our students can learn, engage, and succeed.
National Support from the United States Tennis Association (USTA)
The Mission of the USTA Foundation is to bring tennis and education together to change lives. The USTA Foundation supports programs nationwide that leverage tennis and education to help underserved youth through the National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network.
Tennis & Tutoring, an NJTL, is one of 500 nonprofit youth development organizations around the country that provides free tennis and education programming to under resourced youth. Tennis & Tutoring was selected as one of 28 National Junior Tennis & Learning programs around the country to be in a 3 year Capacity Building Program. By teaming with the USTA Foundation through NJTL, we are building our management team’s infrastructure so that Tennis & Tutoring will be sustainable and impactful.
