Our executive director leads all day-to-day operations of Tennis & Tutoring.
He is assisted in fund raising by our director of development.
Executive Director
Mike Trabert
Mike is a USPTA certified Elite Professional, a USA High Performance coach, and has over 40 years teaching experience. He has served as the Director of Tennis for the Pebble Beach Company the Carmel Valley Ranch and the Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club. Mike was the 1999 USTA Northern California Pro of the Year. And in 2010 Mike received the prestigious USPTA Intermountain Division Industry Excellence Award.
John Kaloudis
Director of Development
John Kaloudis has an extensive background in development at the University of Utah and non-profits. He served as executive director of Tennis & Tutoring for 4 years and continues to assist in fundraising and on court activities with the children. His fundraising skills have been a valuable asset to the program. John is a former collegiate tennis player.

President
Sharon Sonnenreich
Sharon Sonnenreich is a long-serving Granite School District administrator, who is currently the Principal at Silver Hills Elementary. Sharon has a Master's degree in Education with Administrative Endorsement, Educational Leadership and Administration. She is a Juris Doctor (J.D.), Law. And she has a Bachelor's Degree in History. Sharon has established Tennis & Tutoring programs at two schools and loves the sense of community, academic support, and fun Tennis and Tutoring brings to her students.
Dorene Sambado
Vice President
In 1987 Dorene moved to Utah for her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. In 1990, along with 3 other women, they started an all-female internal medicine practice. They owned and operated this business for 20 years. In the meantime, she and her husband raised three daughters. Dorene is passionate about tennis and loves to play during the day, and watch the Tennis Channel most of the night.

Marce Miles
Treasurer
Marce has 40+ years of experience in Accounting and Management, she currently owns her own bookkeeping service. Marce serves as Treasurer of Utah Tennis Association and Secretary of the Tennis and Tutoring Program. She recently completed a ten-year term with USTA Intermountain serving as Treasurer, President and Delegate. She is also Director for the Desiree and Travis Bastian Memorial Tennis Tournament.
Scott Rockwood
Previous President
Scott Rockwood, now retired, was the CEO of one of Utah’s leading advertising agencies and served on the boards of several industry trade organizations, including as president of AMIN, an advertising and marketing international network of independent agencies. Scott is a certified USPTA teaching professional, a former collegiate player, and has been a volunteer high school tennis coach.

Linda Vincent
Utah Tennis Association and Utah Junior Tennis Foundation Executive Director for 17 years retiring in 2013. Founding member of Tennis and Tutoring established in 2007.  Linda is also a former president of the organization. Utah Tennis Hall of Fame Inductee, September of 2022. Advocate and active Volunteer in the Tennis community beginning in 1982.
Laurie Lambert
Member of the Board
Laurie Lambert is currently the Executive Director for USTA Utah - the state office for National USTA tennis. She has been a teaching pro for 40 years and is certified for both Wheelchair Tennis and a National 10 & Under Trainer. She was the Business Manager for the Park City MARC tennis facility and a pro there for 11 years before joining the Utah Tennis Association. She has been on the T&T board since 2012.
George Matus
Member of the Board
George Matus, YPO member, MBA and tech founder/ CEO has been uplifting underrepresented youth for over 20 years having started the Village Project with Judge Andrew Valdez and Debbie Robb in 2003. George is now expanding sports and life-skills programs throughout the Caribbean and Ukraine border for orphans and refugees, and is a former St. John's University NCAA D1 collegiate athlete, Big East Conference Tennis Champion.

Rich Francey
Rich Francey owns and operates Sajam Sports, a sports promotions company specializing in Nike sports camps. Rich’s vast tennis industry experience includes being the sales director for Tennis Warehouse, the western region sales manager for Babolat, and a member of Prince Sports President’s advisory board. Rich is a USPTA Certified Master Professional who has spent many years teaching tennis and managing tennis programs.

Scott Reichard
Scott Reichard owned, managed and taught tennis at a Utah-based indoor/outdoor tennis club before working as a Financial Advisor for two Leading Financial firms. Later he joined a start-up team for a medical staffing company that ultimately became publicly traded on NASDAQ.  After retiring Scott has been on the Board of Directors for two 501c3 organizations that also experienced meaningful growth.
Derk Wharton
Member of the Board
John Derk Wharton was the owner and CEO of one of the top software providers for the Auto and Flat glass industry. Derk is a former University of Utah tennis player and competed in the NCAA championships at #1 singles. Derk has been involved in Utah tennis from an early age and taught tennis at the Salt Lake Tennis Club.

Lisa Ann Smith
Born and raised in Salt Lake City. Played collegiate tennis at the University of Utah. Spent 25 years teaching tennis at various clubs throughout Salt Lake City. Worked at Utah Tennis as an adult and junior competition director. Director of Tag Ranch a nonprofit organization working with children.
